Cat Eye Shell

The cats eye shell is an apotropaic amulet which comes from the shells of snails which are able to open and close their openings like trap doors. The thinner onychia are used in biblical incense, while the thicker pieces are used to ward off evil and to set jewelry and charms.

For example, cat’s eye shells can be used to ward off spells when put in a charm with rue, basil, and mint.

To stop gossip, it can be put into a charm with Dumbcane, Slippery Elm, or Hercules club.

In my Lucky Cat charm, the charm is fixed with two cat eye shells.

Each purchase will receive one Cat’s Eye Shell.
