The gifts of the Magi bestowed to Christ sometime after his birth are of mythical proportion: Gold, frankincense, and myrrh. In this community ritual, a candle is lit and burned on the shrine of the Three Magi, each day for the extent of Saint Lucia's Feast Day (December 13th) through the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th- a petition can be made for the gifts that the magi bestow: Wisdom; Prosperity; Success; Power; and Open Roads in the coming year. The candles are lit and prayed over with your petition below the candle, repeatedly attaining power throughout the 24 nights of Christmas.
