Law Keep-Away spells and workings are a form of protective spells and formulas to help keep the law off you. This is especially helpful for anyone who works “below board”, doesn’t look, or participates in behaviors that are targeted by police. Formulas like Law Keep Away Oil can be anointed to the body, to candles, on cars, on offices, and objects.
An old-school working to keep the police off your tail is to scatter dirt collected from the grave of a well-known police officer behind you to keep them away. Another way to get similar effects is to anoint yourself in Black Cat Oil and Law Keep-Away Oil.
When it comes to keeping the police off you, be smart: make sure to leave any electronics at home before going to do anything the law wouldn’t like. Remember, most technology nowadays has some tracking agent that works even when your phone is off, including your car. Even paper printed from printers have incredibly small codes that can give clues as to where the paper was printed. In terms of “below board”: Analogue is the way, don’t be stupid, don't be a
hero, and like all good magicians: keep it secret.
Indian Head Cent
One famous working from hoodoo is the Indian Head Cent. When I was a kid, we would visit family out west. I’ll never forget an old hometown dive we found our way in (where I tried hard liquor and cigars for the first time at the age of 9 or so) for a wedding reception. On the doorframe of this bar, no inch was uncovered from pennies nailed in X formations. I didn’t pay close enough attention as a kid, so I’m not sure if they were Scout pennies, but I bet if I could go back and check, I’d find that they were. I didn’t ask questions about them as a kid (too busy trying to catch my next cigar) of course, in that town, it felt more like the set of a western movie, or some romantic americana, where the dust never settled, tumbleweeds blew everywhere, and everyone was cast in a glowing patina of neon from the budwiser signs on the wall.
Many identified the Indian Head Cent with Blackhawk, and therefore, because of the kinship between the indigenous population of the Americas and the enslaved Africans, the coins are seen to lookout for the cops. They’re nailed in rows on doorframes, usually in numerals of four or nine (nine is said to be a place where illegal business is conducted). The Scouts are fed weekly with whiskey or Law Keep Away Oil.
Another way I’ve seen these types of workings interpreted was at a Santeros' house I knew. He was also an espiritista, amongst other things. In the front window of his house, peaking through a slit in the blinds, was a statue of a Scout, with a spear in his hand. Around him lay certain items I won’t disclose. I noticed the similarity between the Indian Head Cents and this statue of a scout, actively worked.
Washes for the Door
A working from Memphis is to take a Black Cat Bone and boil it with white sugar. Add this to a bucket with a teaspoon of lye concentrate and the oil of bergamot and cinnamon. Hang the
Black Cat Bone above the door. Then mop the floor from back to front. This is said to keep away the police, while simultaneously drawing in good luck.
Another working is to take Blue Anil, and break it up into a bucket of water, and mix it with Law Keep-Away Oil, and scrub it onto your stoop or front porch. The idea is that a little bit of blue already there means the blue don’t need to come to you place.
A charm for Keeping Away the Police
Take a Black Cat Bone, valerian root, bergamot peel or oil, fennel seeds, and black mustard seeds, and add this to a black bag or cloth. Anoint this regularly with Back Cat Oil and Law Keep Away Oil.
A Prayer Card Law Keep Away Protection Charm
Take two prayer cards of Saint Michael the Archangel, who is patron of police officers. With a photo of the person you wish to protect, or a lock of their hair, place this in the middle of the prayer card on the back side. Sew part of the charm up with red thread, making sure to pray while doing so. You can either pray the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel to defend against police, or Psalm 91
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most
High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my
fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the
fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under
his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be
thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand
at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the
reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any
plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to
keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou
dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young
lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will
I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he
hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will
be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and
honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my
salvation.
With this put in a pinch of fennel seeds, basil, rue, black mustard seeds, and bergamot peel.. Finish sewing it up. Anoint the charm in Law Keep-Away Oil and Fiery Wall of Protection Oil regularly. This can be kept on your person, in your car, etc.
