Shut Up Spells & Workings

Surreal art of an eye with lashes and a snake-like body, pierced by a sword, dripping blood. Text: "Keep my name out of your mouth! Shut Up."

Shut Up Workings & Spells are used when gossip, slander, and problematic tongues circle around

you: whether it be at work, school, or even in matters of the law. Workings to shut someone up can very: whether binding someone's mouth shut, or blowing up their tongue in infamous tongue workings.

Shut Up formulas like Shut Up Oil can be anointed to mouthy coworkers' desks, or places you know where they’re going to be walking. Effigies of people you need to silence such as coworkers or chatty aunts, can be made, such as dolls, or images of mouths stuffed with Alum and anointed with Shut Up Oil. One simple working for stopping gossip is to take a black candle and carve the person you know is speaking ill of you into it.

If you don’t know who it is, write “Gossipers” into the candle with a pin or tack. Anoint the candle in Shut Up Oil, and pray Psalm 37. When the prayer is over, snap the candle in half while extinguishing the flame. Throw the candle in the trash. Another simple spell is to take a mirror that

you’ve never seen your reflection in, and anoint the four corners and enter with Shut Up Oil & Reversal Oil. Print out a photo of the person and place this photo in front of the mirror, so the slander they spread will be reversed and put back on to them.

A Shut Up Working With Mother-in-Law's Tongue

A simple working to stop gossip is to take a Sansevieria leaf, also known as Snake Plant or Mother-In-Law’s Tongue: a common houseplant, and a plant that grows everywhere as an invasive down here in Central and South Florida.

Cut the leaf and pay for it with a coin. Baptize the leaf as the tongue of the person you’re working on, and inscribe their name into it with a pin. Anoint the tongue with Shut Up Oil, and recite Psalm 37:

37 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Snap the leaf in half. Bury this in the backyard or near a tree that will take on this working for you.

A Working With a Photo

If someone is speaking ill of you, take a photo of them, being sure that the image has the person's eyes looking at the camera. Write the person's name on the back of the photo thirteen times in Bats Blood Ink, or a red pen. With a needle and thread both anointed in Shut Up Oil, stitch the area of the person's mouth shut, speaking with each stitch what you desire. To make the work more severe, you can couple the Shut Up Oil with Crossing Oil, or some other oil that is severe or malignant. Place the photo in a jar, and add into it alum powder. Seal it shut and bury it at a crossroads.

Another Working With a Candle, Alum, and Spiked Liquor

With pins or a needle and thread, anointed with Shut Up Oil, sew the mouth of the photo shut. Lay the photo onto a heatproof surface, and sprinkle alum powder over the photo. Take a black candle with your petition inscribed into the candle, your desire. Anoint the candle in Shut Up Oil, and fix it to the photo (carefully). Light the candle. over the working, dowse some high proof rum, spiked with peppers, nails of cloves, black pepper, and alum. With a match, light this all on fire, and allow it to burn down. Throw this working in the trash.

A Crossing With a Tongue

Take a tongue, whether it be bovine or porcine. Dress the tongue and baptize it as the person you are working on.

I name and baptize this tongue as (N.) and as you’re in the likeness of (N.) tongue now, so too shall you be their tongue, even now.”

Slice the tongue open longways. In the opening of the tongue, add in chili peppers, black pepper, coarse alum, nine needles, or pins, and in it, put into it gunpowder.  On the back of your opponents photo, write their name down nine times. Anoint the four corners and the center (or the mouth) with Shut Up Oil. Anoint the tongue and baptize it as the person you are working on, and place this in the cavity.

Sew this up with jute and a thick upholstery needle dressed in Crossing Oil and Shut Up Oil. Bind the working up, with nine knots, while speaking to what you wish to happen to the person speaking ill of you.

Light the gunpowder with a match carefully by throwing it onto the working. The working will blow up and catch on fire. Bury the tongue and the remnants of this working, into the earth.
